Farm safety weeks
We are taking Tocal Skills Training to towns like Coonamble, Boorowa, Barellan and Coleambally. This is a great opportunity for locals to pick from a range of safety training including the SafeWork Quad Bike Safety Program, Forklifts, Chemical Application Level 3, and WHS for Managers. Some courses are fully funded through AgSkilled if you work in the Cotton or Grains industry.

Irrigation 101 is a series of online introductory learning modules about key concepts in the Australian irrigation sector. The modules aim to develop participants' understanding of how the irrigation industry ‘works’.

SMARTtrain® is a nationally recognised brand of chemical training materials available for purchase throughout Australia to use when training people in safe chemical use and application.
The NSW Quad Bike Safety Improvement Programwas launched in July 2016 offering eligible farmers and their workers rebates in implementing safety measures around the use of quad bikes on farms.
Tocal is delivering training as part of this program. So far 1,331 farmers around NSW have taken part in this subsidised training, with even experienced operators saying it has made them change the way they use quad bikes.
The quad bike safety course covers selecting a suitable quad bike for the job, safety checking and basic maintenance, operating it safely in a range of situations with different loads, and advanced riding techniques on slopes and rough terrain.
