About this course

If you work with gear that moves between paddocks, farms, or regions, this 1-day (or online) course teaches you how to properly check and clean your machinery, tools and equipment so you don’t accidentally spread pests, weeds or diseases. It’s all about doing your bit to protect our land, crops and animals—simple steps that make a big difference.

The course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:
  • increasing awareness of how weeds and other pest organisms can be spread via contaminated machinery, and reducing the risk of this occurring
  • formally inspect machinery for material that may contribute to the spread of weeds, pests or disease covering options for location and equipment when cleaning machinery and plant.
