The course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:

  • Installation and maintenance of basic electric fencing

  • Identify hazards & implement safe workplace procedures
  • Confirm work instructions  create a work plan

  • Fencing knots
  • Prepare to construct a fence
  • Construct a conventional & electric fence & hang a gate
  • Complete fencing operations – clean, tidy, remove waste & store tools and materials

  • 2 day face-to-face including practical components
  • Participants are provided with the 120 page Farm Agskills publication containing colour photos, diagrams and practical tips.
  • This course is mainly delivered outdoors.

There are no entry requirements for this course.

The unit of competency is:
AHCINF307 - Plan and construct conventional fencing.

AHCINF205 – Carry out basic electric fencing operations
