What is AgSkilled?

The AgSkilled 3.0 program is a $5 million investment by the NSW Government to upskill the intensive livestock, extensive livestock, beekeeping, cotton, grains, production horticulture, viticulture and rice-growing industries across NSW. The program has a strong on-farm focus and is targeted at producers, (including on-farm processing if 50% or more is grown and processed inside the farm gate), farm staff, contractors, and eligible industry professionals. The following accredited training is fully subsidised, administered under the NSW Government's Smart and Skilled program.

To be eligible you must:

  • Be 15 years old or over.
  • No longer at school.
  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.
  • Have a genuine interest.
    Means a person must have a stake in the industry and be seeking  to upskill, attain the skills required for promotion, move across industries, or to another employer.
  • Live or work in NSW.
    Your place of residence or physical work home base must be in NSW. If both your place of residence and physical work home base is outside of NSW, but you service industry in NSW, you are not eligible for the AgSkilled program.

Courses

*Conditions apply – you must be able provide valid reasoning as to how the particular training you have selected is relevant to your work i.e. how does it link to crop production.
