Barbara is a ewe that lives on Tocal. She is part of a herd that stick together and look out for each other. Sometimes Barbara doesn’t feel as strong as she looks, so the rest of the herd help her out!
This new book joins our children's book series sharing information about Australian food production on Tocal. In Barbara children will learn about looking beyond appearances, as well as about how sheep are grown and sheared for wool production.
About this series
Barbara is one of a series of stories aimed at developing agricultural understanding in young students, as well as an appreciation of the work involved in producing food and fibre on Australian farms. The other titles in this series are Beatrice, Bosley and Bruce, Charlotte, Freda, Jack and Dunedoo and Sunny and Ruby.

Sunny and Ruby are Australian Stock Horses on Tocal. They are siblings and best of friends. Sunny looks up to his older sister, although at times, he is just a tiny bit jealous. With time, care and training both grow to be horses we are all proud of!
