    New wage subsidy for fee-free traineeships

    Any businesses or Group Training Organisation that engages an Australian Apprentice on or after 5 October 2020 may be eligible for a subsidy of 50 per cent of wages paid to an apprentice between 5 October 2020 and 30 September 2021, to a maximum of $7,000 per quarter.

    Fee free traineeships from 1 January 2020

    The NSW Government has expanded its support for trainees and apprentices by waiving the $1000 Smart and Skilled co-contribution fee for traineeships. The subsidy will cover the cost of the training (i.e. the qualification price). Fee free training will be available to commencing trainees from 1 January 2020 until 31 December 2023. Trainees will be eligible for up to three fee free traineeships over the duration of the initiative.

    2019 Tocal Australian Stock Horse Sale results

    The 2019 Approved Australian Stock Horse Sale at Tocal College resulted in strong competition for the thirteen horses offered. The horses were sold for above average prices based on Tocal’s sales over the past 12 years.
