The extensionAUS Bootcamp brings together extension professionals, researchers and industry representatives for three days of practical learning, connection and collaboration.

About the Bootcamp

The Bootcamp supports both new and established Communities of Practice (CoPs), along with other extension professionals.

Across the three days, participants will:

  • Build connections across the extension network
  • Strengthen skills in digital extension and engagement
  • Share ideas, challenges and practical experiences
  • Plan and progress Community of Practice activities

Program Snapshot

Day 1 – New Communities of Practice
Focused on onboarding new CoPs, building relationships and starting a practical CoP plan.

Day 2 – Professional Development Day (Open to extension practitioners beyond extensionAUS)
Digital and Online Extension

The Professional Development Day is part of extensionAUS Bootcamp 2026, but open to extension practitioners more broadly. This practical one-day workshop is focused on building digital extension skills — from online content, podcasts and video through to online communities, social media, SEO and being AI-ready. Includes a Tocal farm tour and networking dinner.

Day 3 – Existing CoP Meeting Day
Dedicated to CoP updates, sharing learnings, and planning next steps.

Registration

Attendance at the 2026 Bootcamp is free.
Conference meals and the Wednesday evening dinner are included.

Participants are responsible for their own:

  • Travel
  • Accommodation

Accommodation

On-site accommodation (Tocal College):

  • $90 - $165 per night (on site at Tocal College)

Motel-style accommodation is available at Glendarra 1 and 2, located across the road from the College in a quiet rural setting. Rooms include tea and coffee facilities, television and Wi-Fi.

Availability is limited and rooms tend to fill quickly, so we recommend registering early if you’d like to stay on-site. We’ll invoice you separately, or you can pay by credit card. Please let us know which nights you’ll be staying below when you register.
