Highlights from Precision Pastures field day

Tocal College supported Hunter LLS at the Precision Pastures Field Day on Thursday 18 July at the Singleton pasture demonstration site.

Over 100 farmers attending to discuss nitrogen management, soil testing, grazing management, getting the most out of your pastures, calibration of spreaders, GPS and tractor technology, how to improve on farm efficiencies.

Tocal College lecturers Justine Baird and Matt Notley ran sessions on precision agronomy including:

  • understanding spreading difference of fertiliser products
  • spreader calibration
  • using conventional and precision spreaders
  • using GPS to save you time and money.
