This course is designed for experienced and qualified drone pilots who wish to apply pesticides with a drone equipped with suitable application equipment.
The FIELDS Advanced Agriculture accredited training course has been designed to teach agricultural drone owners industry-standard techniques to get the best from their equipment whilst remaining safe and compliant with CASA and chemical application regulations. This course is delivered by award winning drones operations training company, FPV Australia in partnership with Tocal College
The course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:
- Meeting the legislative requirements for pesticide application
- Safe and efficient application of pesticides.

- The course addresses the regulatory and safety requirements for aerial chemical application
- Theory and practice of spray drone setup, operation and maintenance
Participants must hold a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Remote Pilot’s Licence (RePL)
This course is mapped to the following national units of competencies:
- AHCCHM307 - Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and disease.
- AHCCHM304 - Transport and store chemicals.
- AHCWRK314 - Monitor weather conditions
Successful completion of assessment tasks will result in achieving a Statement of Attainment and can contribute to a nationally-recognised qualification.
