Confined spaces may not be what they appear. This one day course at Tocal will give you the skills and knowledge to ensure that the next confined space you climb into isn’t the last.

The course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:
  • planning and preparing for working in a confined space
  • entering, working safely in, and exiting confined spaces.

    • Knowledge aspects such as WHS, acts regulations, Australian standards and codes of practices
    • Selection and correct use of equipment
    • Hazardous Atmospheres including gas monitoring
    • Practical aspects of working in confined spaces including:
      • Hazard identification and Risk Assessment
      • Isolation, permits and authority
      • Correct use of rescue equipment

This course requires a high level of physical fitness and manual dexterity. If you are unsure whether you meet these requirements, please talk to our short course coordinator before enrolment.
