About this course

Quad bikes: convenient, useful and one of the greatest causes of harm on farm.

The NSW quad bike safety improvement program is an initiative of SafeWork NSW, offering support to NSW farmers to undertake harm prevention activities associated with on-farm use of quad bikes. The program includes a small business quad bike safety rebate and training package to reduce deaths and injuries on NSW farms. This means that eligible participants can do Tocal College's Operate Quad Bikes one-day training course at no cost.

The Operate Side by Side Utility Vehicles training is now also included in this program.

The quad bike course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:
  • safely and effectively operating quad bikes
  • undertaking pre-start checks and shut-down procedures
  • carrying out routine checks and maintenance.
