Financial assistance

Financial support is available to full time students at Tocal on the same basis as students at any other college or university. Support includes Youth allowance and Abstudy. Contact Centrelink for more information.

A large number of scholarships are also available for full time Tocal students. They include:

Holiday Coast Credit Union

2 scholarships available for students from the area serviced by Holiday Coast Credit Union. This extends from Coffs harbour to Maitland.
Applications close in early February, forms are available from branches of Holiday Coast Credit Union or from Tocal.

Jean Wilson Alexander Memorial Scholarship

The Jean Wilson Alexander Memorial Scholarship provides support for ex-students wishing to undertake further training or other activities to assist them to achieve their career goals. See the CB Alexander Foundation website for more information or download the application form.

NSW Farmers´ Association

Scholarships may be available for Certificate IV in Agriculture (second year) students whose parents are members of NSW Farmers Association. Application forms are available from the NSW Farmers´ Association.

2 scholarships available for students in the Horse Husbandry course who plan to work in the thoroughbred industry.

Unless otherwise stated applications for the above scholarships close at the end of November and successful applicants are notified in December/January. The form in the College prospectus applies to most scholarships. A covering letter providing information on the financial position of the applicant and their family (including taxable income) is recommended.
